Symptom:
Issue found on 15 K test bed after VM was Powered OFF unexpectedly. After VMs are powered ON, CUP couldn't start Sync Agent Service. CUP Version: 10.5.1.98000- 241.

Error in Sync Agent log:
2014-10-08 14:15:30,199 ERROR [main] dbl.Connector - connect() SQLException
java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:informix-sqli://barcapcucm.sip.com:1500/:informixserver=;IFX_LOCK_MODE_WAIT=10;DB_LOCALE=en_US.utf8;CLIENT_LOCALE=en_US.utf8;;IFX_SOC_TIMEOUT=300000;INFORMIXCONTIME=7;user=dbuser;password=22bb31d55723
at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:596)
at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:233)

After analyzes it is found that the root cause of the error is that CUCM was not connectable when CUP db was starting up. It could be due to:

1)DNS issue 2) network issue 3) CUCM was down or the RPC service on CUCM was stopped

Work around for this issue is to restart A Cisco DB service.

Conditions:
CUP VM was Powered OFF unexpectedly.

CUCM and CUP failed to Sync
Hi All   I have a CUCM 11.5 and Cups 11.5 and the changes made on CUCM does not replicate to the CUP, but if i restart the dir sync service on cup the changes are replicated.   On system dasboard apears "Sync Completed, but currently failed to connect to the CUCM Database Monitor."   Thanks in advance.
