Cisco Bug: CSCur10607 - ASDM ID certificate wizard is not needed with Java 8
Nov 10, 2016
- Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: ASDM Launcher is working as expected with Java 8: if Java can't validate the ASA's certificate, it shows a warning to the user asking whether he wants to proceed launching an untrusted application. If the user selects Cancel, the Launcher then shows the dialog that offers to launch ASDM via WebStart so that the user could generate a certificate for the ASA. However, if the user didn't want to launch ASDM to begin with, there is no point in asking him to launch ASDM from the same untrusted server using a different way. So for Java 8 we shouldn't show the dialog about the wizard at all. Conditions: Java * ASA doesn't have a trusted certificate.
