Last Modified

Oct 14, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows

Known Affected Releases

9.7(4)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
++Customer was using CUPC 8.6.1 & 8.5.5 clients before, and now they have migrated to jabber 9.7.4
++ Whenever customer tries to call the pizza guy contact in his contact list from jabber, as soon as the call toast window appears, the display name in the contact list gets updated to the called party number.
++ It only happens for 9.7.4 jabber for windows. No such problem with 10.5 clients
++ When they manually edit the display name back, then , when they call again, the issue wont re-occur.
++ All the customers were using CUPC before, and these contacts were already been added in contact list, this is not happening for newly added contacts in the contact list.

Conditions:
++ contacts should be already been added as a pizza guy in CUPC, and later start up a jabber client and try to make a call to the pizza guy contact, then the display name will get converted to called number in the contact list of jabber
