Cisco Bug: CSCur08495 - VSUM1.0: Failing to manage the existing switch for TACACS credentials
Sep 17, 2019
- Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch for VMware vSphere
- Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When attempting to manage the Nexus 1000V with Virtual Switch Update Manger plugin for VCenter webclient, I receive a message stating "Operation requires a user with administrator privileges. User [user] does not have the required privileges." The user Ids being used are valid as they have access to log in to the VSM and make changes to the running/startup configuration. Conditions: We click on 'Make Managed' in the vSphere webclient's VSUM page and input the credentials having the admin privilege. The device uses TACAS for authentication.
