Cisco Bug: CSCur08258 - MFP attempting to retrieve hw configuration after startup timeout
Dec 31, 2016
- Cisco Digital Content Manager (DCM) Software
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: MFP has a startup timeout mechanism that generates malfunction timeout alarm if attempt(s) to successfully retrieve the hardware configuration fails. After the alarm generation DCM will continue asking for the hardware configuration as long as the faulty hardware configuration keeps coming in. The effect is that in case of a permanent hardware failure the hardware configuration will be requested indefinitely. After 10 minutes all boards will be available in GUI, except the one with hardware problem . Timeout alarm may be traced via GUI Status->Summary->Alarm History Conditions: Hardware failure on MFP board.
