Cisco Bug: CSCuq93430 - AVX reporting on vTS is misleading and unnecessary

Last Modified

Aug 22, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Server

Known Affected Releases

4.0(2.8)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A field of "AVX Enabled" is displayed on the Platform status of a virtual TelePresence Server. The online help misleadingly suggests that AVX is in use if this value is True. This is not the case, the value only reports if the underlying processor supports Advanced Vector Extensions.

Conditions:
Only affects the 4.0(2.8) vTS builds. The reported value is irrelevant, but will correctly report the processor's capabilities.
