Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

In VCenter 5.5 deployments, if a concrete device is configured for auto-placement of VNIC upon graph instantiation, auto-placement of VNIC causes the MAC address of VNIC to become 00:00:00:00:00:00

This only happens in environment with VCenter 5.5.

Also it only happens when device cluster type is virtual and concrete device in device cluster is configured for auto-placement of VNICs. Admin must have specified the VM name and VNIC name for concrete interface for auto placement to happen.
