Description (partial)

Symptom:
Difference in volume when two 8831 units are connected after a phone is already registered (Ethernet cables still present).

Conditions:
Customer does not follow "Linked Mode Setup Best Practice" when connecting two 8831 phones:

The phone is already registered with ethernet cables when a slave unit is added --- volume does not sync properly.
