Cisco Bug: CSCuq86219 - VRF stuck in 'Delete Holddown' after being deleted

Last Modified

Apr 03, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.1(0)N1(0.291) 7.1(0)N1(0.324)

Description (partial)

Symptom:When a VRF address-family is deleted from BGP, BGP still maintains the address-family as a BGP data structure. 'show bgp process vrf <VRF name>' will still show the deleted address-family.
THe BGP VRF will not be freed. There is no functionality impact or network outage issue.

Conditions:Deleting the VRF address-family under BGP can trigger this issue, although this won't always be the case as it appears this is a race condition.
