Cisco Bug: CSCuq84990 - Cobra SDK - Fix pytest BaseMo and device package tests and file open
May 15, 2019
- Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: The internal test cases for the ACI Python SDK that use py.test had some initial errors for the BaseMo object and the rest test cases that covered device packages. This would cause the BaseMo test case to always pass and the device package test cases to be platform specific. Also when reading a device package on Windows based platforms, the device package may be truncated because it was read in as text rather than binary data. Conditions: The BaseMo test case would always pass even if it were called in such a way that it would be expected to fail. The device package test cases would fail on Windows based platforms. Finally, for both tests and in real world situations, using the services module of the ACI Python SDK on a Windows based platform is likely to result in an incomplete device package being read from disk and uploaded to an APIC.
