Cisco Bug: CSCuq83635 - Traffic drop on wism2 on AVC + HA, no capwap data received

Last Modified

Sep 12, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

7.6(130.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After unknown uptime, randomly, the controller will stop processing client traffic.
No association requests, nothing.. silent drop, no debug or messages on control plane

Sniffer trace capture show the traffic arriving at the port channel.
This fails for "most" of the APs, the WLC will keep working for some APs, but client count will go from 1000 to around 8 to 20 when this happens, so source IP (load balancing) seems to play a role

Suspecting a inter DP problem here

Conditions:
Wism2 only, HA client SSO, controller is on remote site, 2KM away, fiber connection, AVC
Gateway is cat6K VSS system
