Cisco Bug: CSCuq83569 - ENH: ASA cut through proxy should redirect to FQDN instead of IP address

Last Modified

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Currently, the ASA's cut through proxy feature redirects users to a login page via an IP address instead of FQDN. When using secure-http-client for HTTPS-based authentication, this can cause certificate warnings to be displayed to users because the URL does not match the FQDN in the CN of the certificate.

Conditions:
This is an enhancement request to add a configurable option that allows the ASA to redirect users to an FQDN rather than an IP address during cut through proxy authentication.
