Cisco Bug: CSCuq79866 - Auto config is pulling random vlan for untagged traffic on trunk port

Last Modified

Feb 10, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 6000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.1(0)N1(0.318)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A random vlan is getting set for auto-config when during auto-configuration of the native vlan while sending untagged traffic.

Conditions:
Auto-config has to be enabled, along with "switchport trunk native vlan <>" on the port. The profile for auto-config must move vlans from CE mode to Fabricpath. It is during this change to fabricpath the vlan is going down and packets come in on a random vlan, as there is not a native vlan up to be learned on.
