Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

7.6(130.0) 8.0(0.30220.385)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A wireless LAN controller may send RADIUS Interim accounting updates, even if the "Radius Server Accounting Interim Update" checkbox is unchecked in the WLAN configuration.

As a result, the RADIUS server may be overloaded by unwanted RADIUS accounting messages, resulting in widespread authentication failures.

Conditions:
WLAN configured with AAA Accounting Servers enabled, but with "Radius Server Accounting Interim Update" unchecked. Clients roaming between APs/WLCs.
