Cisco Bug: CSCuq69280 - node-protection required for MoFRR with Multicast Multipath

Last Modified

Feb 26, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

4.3.2.MCAST 5.1.3.MCAST

Description (partial)

Symptom:
MoFRR + Multicast Multipath spreads both primary and secondary joins over all available links. There is no concept to restrict each type of join to a single neighbor router, to achieve node-protection. This limits the redundancy possible with MoFRR as secondary join may be sent to same node as primary join.

Conditions:
Normal MoFRR + Multicast Multipath behaviour.
