Cisco Bug: CSCuq63532 - virtual hostname mapping not working for global parameter map

Last Modified

Jul 06, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco IOS

Known Affected Releases

3.6(0) Denali-16.1.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For a 5760 running 03.06.00E

While trying to configure web-auth on a customer network we noticed the following -

https://xyz/login.html?switch_url=https://1.1.1.1/login.html&redirect=http://conn.skype.com/

but we were expecting to see -

https://xyz/login.html?switch_url=https://virtual.wlc.domainname/login.html&redirect=http://conn.skype.com/

where "virtual.wlc" is the hostname mapped to 1.1.1.1 in the web-auth parameter-map called 'global'. This option does not exist with any other custom parameter-map.

So it seems that the hostname to IP mapping defined in there didnt work

Conditions:
virtual hostname to virtual IP mapping defined under the global web-auth parameter-map doesnt work
