Description (partial)

The main symptom is that the media server might unexpectedly become unresponsive. It is generally pingable, but cannot be accessed by http, SSH, or other means.  Looking closer, this occurs when a umsdevice process is consuming more and more memory, gradually increasing until the server has no more memory left to give. At this point the operating system hangs.

This seems to appear rarely, and inconsistently when the umsdevice is ingesting Axis-brand video. This video is not being sent in a way we expect, or contains invalid information.
