Description (partial)

Symptom:
An operational FCIP tunnel fails randomly under load. The associated FCIP interface stays down. The following type of syslog messages are seen:

  %ETHPORT-5-IF_DOWN_SOFTWARE_FAILURE: Interface IPStorage1/1 is down (Port software failure)
  %PORT-5-IF_DOWN_SOFTWARE_FAILURE: %$VSAN 1%$ Interface fcip1 is down (Port software failure)

Conditions:
This issue occurs only on the Cisco MDS 9250i platform when IP compression is enabled on an FCIP tunnel and data is being sent. All IP compression modes are affected.
