Symptom: A N7K running NX-OS 6.2.x prior to 6.2.10 may crash and produce core files in the Resource Manager Daemon. show system reset-reason may show ----- reset reason for module 10 (from Supervisor in slot 10) --- 1) At 193686 usecs after Wed Aug 13 15:05:21 2014 Reason: Reset triggered due to HA policy of Reset Service: res_mgr hap reset Version: 6.2(2a) Conditions: With a relatively low likelihood, a buffer overflow might be triggered when issuing one of the following commands: show resource show resource vlan (or another resource name from show resource ?) show vdc resource detail show vdc resource vlan (or another resource name) detail show vdc vdc-name resource show vdc vdc-name resource vlan (or another resource name) When the user has frequently created/deleted vlans across multiple VDCs, the user is more susceptible to this issue.
