- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Parity error correction failed on NP TM (A9K-2x100GE-TR). This issue is not specific to the 100G linecard. =syslog= LC/0/1/CPU0:Aug 11 08:50:43.878 JST: prm_server_ty: %PLATFORM-NP-3-ECC : prm_ser_check: Unable to repair Parity error on NP 0, block 0x24 (TM_QC), offset 50, memid 118, name QD_CCH_SHP_PROF_INDX_L, addr 0x000000da, bit 2147483648, ext info 0xffffffff 0xffffffff 0xffffffff 0xffffffff, action 0 (Fix) LC/0/1/CPU0:Aug 11 08:50:43.883 JST: pfm_node_lc: %PLATFORM-NP-2-NON_RECOVERABLE_SOFT_ERROR : Set|prm_server_ty|Network Processor Unit(0x1008000)| A non-recoverable soft error has been detected on NP0. The linecard will be rebooted. Conditions: This repair failure can occur whenever an ECC or parity is detected in block 0x24 (TM_QC) with an offset of 46 or 50. Note that the bug is in the repair of the faulty memory location. This fix does not address the underlying ECC/parity which is most likely a rare hardware occurrence.
