Symptom: Activation failure with Contact Cisco support with context: Configuration successfully activated to the device, but an internal error occurred on VSM. So a part of the configuration is applied to the device, but due to an error VSM couldn't process what was really configured. This has as a result that the configured settings on those devices are seen as a non-vsm configuration. Conditions: The problem arises when a previous activation was only partially successful and contained activation problems that were only partially configured on the device. This information needs to be tracked so VSM can remove that partially configured setting when deactivating the configuration. If in such a case the user changes its configuration so that this partially failed operation is changed in terms of property values, not in terms of identification. e.g. for example changing the engine for an MFP service to another engine on the same board) and reactivates the configuration/event. - If no other problems occur no issue will be seen - if a failure occurred on the same device the activation will be reported as a failure with a Contact Cisco support message.
