Cisco Bug: CSCuq33451 - ASA: Increased processor temperature after upgrade
Nov 02, 2020
- Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After upgrading to versions of code ASA 9.2(1) or later, the running temperature of the CPU may increase as tho the CPU is under load when it is not. Conditions: A behavior change went into ASA 9.2(1) code to adjust how the CPU polling system idles the CPU when not in use. This behavior change introduced an unexpected side effect where the act of idling the CPU inadvertently resulted in elevated load on the cores.
