Description (partial)

Symptom:
The CLI ping command may to route properly, when pinging from a data interface, if you have split routing tables configured.

Conditions:
If you have split data and management routing tables configured.  If you try to run a ping from a data interface, the code will try to route it on the management routing table, which can prevent the ping from getting to its destination.
