Description (partial)

Symptom:
SCCP Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) or Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME) phones/endpoints, by default, attempt to register with the SIP trunk service provider.

This may cause interoperability issues with certain providers that don't ignore the registration attempts and increases the number of SIP messages sent to the provider.

Conditions:
This is seen when CUCME is defined and there is a SIP trunk in use for PSTN connectivity. It can also be seen when SRST is defined on a CUBE with a SIP trunk for PSTN connectivity.

There also needs to be SIP trunk registration enabled under the 'sip-ua' sub-command mode.
