Cisco Bug: CSCuq27182 - install3rdpartycerts needs "-2" option

Last Modified

Sep 10, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco IPICS Server Software

Known Affected Releases

4.6(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The install3rdpartycerts CLI script currently supports the following options:

Usage: ./install3rdpartycerts [ -3 | -4 ]

-3 : Install the 3 certificates your CA sent you.
This is the typical case, and is what is documented in the
       IPICS Install Guide.

-4 : Install the 4 certificates your CA sent you.
If you chose this option, the extra certificate must be
       named ./intermediateroot_ca.cert.pem.

But some customers who run their own CA may have a certificate chain with only two certificates in it, so we need to add a "-2" option to the script.

Conditions:
IPICS 4.6(1) or higher
UMS 4.6(1) or higher
