Cisco Bug: CSCuq24693 - CSM: Update Info for Device Status View's "Connection" Column in Doc

Last Modified

Sep 12, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Security Manager

Known Affected Releases

4.4(0) 4.5(0) 4.6(0)FCS1

Description (partial)

Table 3-15 (Device Status View)'s Description of the "Connection" Element is currently:

"Status of the device's connection to the network."

Additionally, Table 68-1 (Available Table Columns for Device-related Views)'s Description of the "Connection Status" Column is currently:

"Status of the device's connection to the network: Connected, Not Connected, or Authentication Error. Column-based Filtering is available. Any information displayed for a Not Connected device is from the indicated Receive Time, prior to connection failure."

These descriptions are potentially misleading and terse - not providing sufficient detail for users to understand what the "Connection"/"Connection Status" columns track, what their potential values may be, why they may not appear to function, etc.
