Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 5000 Series

Known Affected Releases

16.1.3.56103

Description (partial)

Memory leak observed on all the PSC2 cards will lead to inconsistent behaviour of ASR5k like HNBs/Ues not getting registered and/or CS/PS calls not going through.

Symptom:
Continuous monitoring of the system during the longevity run helped in tracking the issue.

Conditions:
1)CBS service is enabled on the FGW and
2) SABP messages (Write [rate: 2/s], Replace[1/s], Kill [1/s], Msg-status-query [1/s]) are sent from the CBS server continuously with 4k SAs/msg, will lead to memory leak on the PSC2 cards.
However, as of now, there is no significant leak observed in any of the tasks (sessmgr, aamgr, cbsmgr etc) running on these cards.
