Last Modified

Jan 17, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

5.1.2.MCAST

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Multicast boundary not applied in PIM to stream for which it should be.

Conditions:
1) multicast boundary ACL configured
2) boundary ACL has permit sequence that matches following a deny sequence that matches
3) ACL has deny in src, grp order

Example:

ipv4 access-list mboundary1
  deny ipv4 192.168.1.1 226.1.1.1/32
  permit ipv4 any any

This should apply a boundary for 192.168.1.1, 226.1.1.1 but does not.
