Description (partial)

Symptom:
N7K - SNMP returns tooBig(1) error instead of truncating encapsulated message to equal or less than max-message size

Example:
[linux7]$ snmpbulkwalk -v2c -c public -Cr100 172.28.83.56 ifMIB
Error in packet.
Reason: (tooBig) Response message would have been too large. <---------HERE
IF-MIB::ifMIB = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID
[linux7]$

Conditions:
Use of either of these methods or combination of these two methods can cause SNMP tooBig error.

1.) user changes default setting for this CLI especially when choosing smaller packetizes:
config(#) snmp-server packetize #

2.) use of SNMP tool commands like -Cr option that request large amounts of data to be returned
[linux7]$ snmpbulkwalk -v2c -c public -Cr100 snmp56 ifMIB

3.) large ifmib ifalias descriptions might cause problems especially the more ports that have
extremely long descriptions.
(config)# int x
(config-if)# description yyy
