Cisco Bug: CSCuq07987 - NBAR sometimes failed to recognize RTP flow based on SIP messages

Last Modified

Sep 14, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco 3900 Series Integrated Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

15.2(4)M

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After a SIP call gets connected, NBAR fails to recognize some initial RTP packets based on SIP messages such that these RTP packets fall into default class in the router QoS Service policy.

Conditions:
Under non-standard SIP negotiation conditions (errors/rejects/missing info etc.) the NBAR SIP parsing might fail to identify the RTP flow and NBAR fell back to identifying the RTP flow by itself.
