Last Modified

Jul 03, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.0(2.98000.175) 10.5(1.98300.1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Once Call manager is upgraded to 10.x,and if an LDAP synch takes place prior to upgrade of the Presence cluster, then, the upgrade of presence server will be affected, if end user changes occurred in between.

This should be tracked in the install/upgrade guide of 10.x call manager , so that Administrators can either disable or postpone the LDAP Synch on CUCM to a much later date .

Purpose of this defect is to include the below notes in the install/upgrade guides of 10.x call manager

"Administrators should either disable or postpone the LDAP Sync on CUCM during the upgrade. If an LDAP synchronization is scheduled in call manager for a time period which is after CUCM upgrade and before IM & Presence upgrade, then the result can be detrimental to the CUPS upgrade if end user changes occurred in between"
