Cisco Bug: CSCuq02608 - Adding an invitee to a single occur. of recurrent series changes mtgID

Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

2.0.1.302 2.0.1.406 2.0.1.416

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In CWMS 2.0, you can change a single occurrence of a recurrent series using Outlook and Productivity Tools. When you make a change to a single occurrence, this occurrence obtains a new meeting ID from the server. This is alright if you make the change to time/date and you will send an update to all the invitees for that series.

However, if you opt to just add a new invitee to a single occurrence of a recurrent meeting, the meeting ID still changes. The problem is that the host of the meeting will normally send an update for such meeting only to the newly added invitee and not all the invitees (as there is no change to time/date of the meeting). Since this change results in the change of the meeting ID and if an option to send the update only to the newly added invitee was selected, only the host and the newly added invitee would have the correct meeting ID for that occurrence, while all other (previously added) invitees would have old (invalid) meeting ID

Adding an invitee to a single occurrence of a recurrent series without date and time change shouldn't result in modifying the meeting ID of the instance.

Conditions:
CWMS 2.0
Editing single occurrence of a recurrent series
