Cisco Bug: CSCuq00445 - Add CLI/GUI option to disable Weak SSL cipher suites for NMSP

Last Modified

Jan 08, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

7.4(121.10) 8.3(141.0) 8.8(100.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Customer found that WLC NMSP connection does not disable Weak Server Cipher(s): TLSv1 56 bits DES-CBC-SHA. The current implementation does not have option to disable weaker cipher, such as TLSv1, 56 bits, other than implementing FIPS on WLC which comes along with a lot more restrictions.

Need WLC to have option to simply disable weaker cipher options.

Conditions:
All WLC codes up to 8.0
