Cisco Bug: CSCup95314 - GMPLS-UNI tunnels don't timeout/retry signaling failures

Last Modified

May 12, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

5.2.0.MPLS

Description (partial)

Symptom:

When signaling is initiated for a GMPLS-UNI tunnel and a Path message is sent, a Resv or a Path-Error is expected to be received. However, if neither occurs, the head-end will wait indefinitely and never send another Path message.

Conditions:

This issue may be observed for any GMPLS-UNI tunnel when signaling is interrupted and messages are lost. However, loss of messages should not occur in correctly-configured networks.

It does not affect tunnels of any other type.
