Cisco Bug: CSCup92824 - SMA backups fail when the SMA does heavy spam quarantine traffic

Last Modified

Jun 22, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Content Security Management Appliance

Known Affected Releases

8.1.1-013

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The SMA backup mechanism may never complete the spam quarantine portion of the backup, if your SMA takes in and removes lots of spam emails every day (hundreds of thousands)

Conditions:
The backups will not succeed if your SMA is rolling over 900,000 emails a day on a high end SMA. QA may need to run tests to determine at which point the backups can succeed. (maybe around 300K).
