Cisco Bug: CSCup80063 - NP TCAM Resources Exhausted and Constant LPTS Writes on TR LC
Jan 23, 2017
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Trying to apply a new ACL to an interface but the configuration is rejected with the following error 'prm_server' detected the 'warning' condition 'NP resource exhausted.' Conditions: A new ACL being applied to the interface/NP (once an ACL is applied to a particular NP adding that ACL to another int or sub-int on the same NP will NOT result in more TCAM entries being utilized). Note: Bundles and other virtual interfaces such as tunnel-ip interfaces work different as they need to be programmed on multiple NPs. The new ACL being applied would utilize fewer TCAM entries than are available, hence 'ample TCAM entries available'.
