  • Cisco Business Edition 6000 Version 9.1
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 9.1

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Management Edition

Known Affected Releases

10.0(1) 9.1(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In the TCP and UDP Port Usage Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Manager, the table entry for TCP port 2789 should have more info included.

Example (table 8):
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/port/9_1_1/CUCM_BK_T2CA6EDE_00_tcp-port-usage-guide-91/CUCM_BK_T2CA6EDE_00_tcp-port-usage-guide-91_chapter_01.html#CUCM_TP_P1E60F8F_00

TCP port 2789 is used on CUCM, but only for internal communication, and therefore it does not need to be opened on firewalls, have QoS configuration, etc.

TCP Port 2789 was closed off from external communication starting in CUCM 7.1 (see CSCsw75881)
