Cisco Bug: CSCup71998 - SW debounce/workaround to handle multiple EHSA interrupts

Last Modified

Feb 17, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 900 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

15.5(1)S

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Active RP may reboot itself after the standby RP reset. When the standby RP is going down certain interrupts are generated on the active. In problem state, these interrupts mis-report the state of the standby - 'as the new active'. This causes the original active RP to reboot as it sees another RP taking over.

%CMRP-3-RP_RESET: SIP0: cmand: RP is resetting : the other RP has become Master

As the standby RP is still not up, the entire chassis reboots.

Conditions:
This is seen when standby RP resets.
