Cisco Bug: CSCup67375 - CSM - Cannot Edit NTP Server Configuration for ASA after Policy Creation

Last Modified

Nov 27, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Security Manager

Known Affected Releases

4.4(0) 4.6(0)SP1

Description (partial)

Users may be unable to edit an existing NTP server configuration for an ASA device once it has been created if the IP address used for the NTP server does not have an actual IP address but instead has per-object overrides assigned to it. The policy must be deleted and re-added in order to make any changes to the policy.

If this NTP policy is removed and re-added, CSM may also not push the entire NTP configuration to the configuration delta.

1. Must be adding an NTP policy to an ASA using an object with no IP address assigned to it
2. Object used as NTP server in policy must have per-device overrides assigned to it
3. Confirmed on CSM 4.4 and 4.6 but may affect other versions as well
