Description (partial)

Symptom:The diagnostic test is not restarted after a replacement fan or power supply unit is hot swapped for a failed unit. The SystemMgmtBus diagnostic test shows the new unit as untested.

The following is a sample of a message that indicates the SystemMgmtBus failed for a power supply:

%DEVICE_TEST-2-POWER_SUPPLY_FAIL: Module 6 has failed test SystemMgmtBus 20 times on System Mgmt Bus for chassis Power Supply instance 2 due to error Power supply is found to be bad error number 0x00000002

If the diagmgr logging level is 5(notifications) or lower (numerically) the following message will be seen:

Conditions:This issue only applies to Nexus 7000 with Supervisor2, Nexus 7700 with Supervisor3 and MDS 9700 director series switches. It does not occur when the system is booted.
