Cisco Bug: CSCup59997 - VPLS LSM Mcast: HEAD node doesn't have mpls NP in mgid
Jul 31, 2018
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When P2MP tunnel link changes to either an interface of different NP in the same LC or an interface in different LC, the L2mcast traffic stops forwarding to the P2MP tunnel. This can happen either in a single router or a cluster chassis. Conditions: 1. This problem could be hit in 5.1.2 release only. 2. The IGMPSN groups have been already installed in the router. Either condition 3 or condition 4 can trigger the issue. 3. Then, P2MP tunnel link is changed, e.g. 1) a new outgoing tunnel interface is added when a new peer VPLS LSM PE router is connected 2) The P2MP tunnel LSP path is changed due to network topology change, such that the P2MP tunnel outgoing interface is changed. 4. Reload the LC which has the P2MP tunnel outgoing interface.
