Description (partial)

Symptom:
With Cisco UCS VIC 1280 on UCS blade servers used for Nexus1000V VEM hosts, one may observe interface speed set to 'unknown' with following syslog on VSM:
2014 Jun 13 14:30:31 vsm-p %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum:20000, tid(hex):22a01a0, comp:41, cid(hex):b0 - vsh

Conditions:
This happens with VEM hosts running Cisco UCS B-22 M3 blades with Cisco UCS VIC 1280 capable of carrying 20Gbps on an individual link. This information can be seen as part of ethtool output as below:
