Known Affected Releases

4.4(0) 4.5(0) 4.6(0)FCS1 4.6(0)QA6 4.6(0)SP1 4.7(0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Disk space used by CSM for storage of event data (Event Data Store) may continue to increase even after reaching/passing the configured 'Event Data Store Disk Size:' value.

Using the CSM Event Viewer client application, changing the filter/view settings to any date/time range (e.g. 'last 10 min', 'last 1 hour', 'is on...', 'is between...', etc.) *other than* "Real Time" produces zero (0) results.

The \CSCOpx\MDC\log\operation\vmsevmgr.log file contains entries such as:

"ERROR (PartitionPurge.java:118) [PartitionPurgeRoutine] - Failed to delete directory"

Conditions:
Running an affected version of CSM (Cisco Security Manager) on which the Event Viewer (a.k.a. "Event Management") feature/functionality is in-use.
