Description (partial)

Symptom:
ATA187 resets when ARP Reply contains a mac-address which doesn't match its ARP cache.
For example:
ATA sends an ARP reuqest for 10.4.92.1 
ATA gets 00:07:b4:00:01:01 as ARP response
After a while:
ATA sends another ARP request for 10.4.92.1 
ATA gets 00:07:b4:00:01:02 as ARP response

Conditions:
First Hop Redundancy Protocols like HSRP/GLBP is used in the local LAN segment.
