Cisco Bug: CSCup55406 - Anchor WLC not appending ap mac parameters for external webauth redirect
May 05, 2016
- Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When a WLAN is configured for external web authentication, a redirect URL is specified. The WLC appends a number of parameters to this URL before passing it along to the client. These parameters can include switch_url, wlan, redirect, ap_mac, client_mac. However when that WLAN is anchored to another WLC via a mobility tunnel, the anchor controller does not append as many parameters as the foreign does. The anchor controller might not have ap information and that is why it is not appending it! However enhancement request if filed so that anchor WLC does send the ap mac information too. Foreign GET http://10.230.:1.102:8083/visitor/login.do?switch_url=https://188.8.131.52/login.html&ap_mac=3c:08:f6:bd:2d:c0&client_mac=30:f7:c5:16:7e:30&wlan=CMX-test&redirect=www.cnn.com/ Anchor GET: http://10.230.1.102:8083/visitor/login.do?switch_url=https://184.108.40.206/login.html&wlan=CMX-test&redirect=www.cnn.com/ Observed on WLC running 220.127.116.11 Conditions: foreign -- anchor relationship on a wlan running external webauth redirect.
