Symptom: Circuit may be activated even if exceeding the requested optical threshold. Upgrade to WSON of a circuit fails if the circuit optical validation does not match the requested one, while it should be upgraded anyway. Conditions: The standard (non LOGO) optical validation of circuits performs a pre-validation of XPM effects on available channels and a FULL validation (possibly more restrictive) on the selected channel; if the pre-validation is below the threshold but the full-validation is above, the circuit is anyway activated. In the WSON upgrade of circuits activated with the legacy signaling (i.e. downstream and upstream are signaled as independent circuits) the optical validation failures is not correctly ignored causing the upgrade failure.
