Description (partial)

Symptom:
A Shared Memory leak may be observed, this has no effect until the available Shared memory is exausted, which leads to faulty behavior. The symptoms are variable and typically would be multiple re-occurring process crashes such as nf_producer, bfd_agent and fib_mgr, but the list of logged errors is not exhaustive as the shortage of shared memory may affect any process.

Symptom:LC/5/1/CPU0:Nov 26 09:26:35.152 : fib_mgr[166]: %OS-SHMWIN-3-ALLOC_ARENA_FAILED : SHMWIN: Failed to allocate new arena from the server : 'SHMWIN_SVR' detected the 'fatal' condition 'VM is exhausted or totally fragmented'

LC/5/1/CPU0:Nov 26 09:26:35.152 : fib_mgr[166]: %ROUTING-FIB-3-GEN_ERR : FIB general error: fib_path_list_find_create_from_route 8918: Cannot allocate/init PL, num_paths 16: 0xa0918e00 'SHMWIN_SVR' detected the 'fatal' condition 'VM is exhausted or totally fragmented'
IGNORE until review completed.

Conditions:This defect only affects either NCS6000 ot CRS-X Line Cards, when Per Prefix IP FRR is configured.

The leak is triggered by continuous link flaps and FRR enabled.

It applies to all software versions supporting the affected hardware not including the fix.
