Description (partial)
Symptom: fcping will not work for the local switch Conditions: This issue happens when default zone permit is configured and later a zone set is activated. The ACL entries for domain controller pkts will be deleted The sequence of events are the following: 1>The ports come up and flogi happens. This will cause the acl to program the entry for domain control frames(fcping) in the bottom region with sid (say 0xeb0000) and did(fffc00). 2>As the flogi has happened, the default zone permit will do this. It will go and program the default entries for the zone in bottom region with sid( say 0xeb0000) and did(don't care) and thus will overwrite the acl entry 3>Now the zoneset activate is done. Which will cause the default zone entry for that fcid to be deleted. While deleting the zone will check only for the sid and did is don't care. This will cause the zone entry with that sid in bottom region to be deleted. Thus it will cause the drop for the fcping packets. So the cause of the issue is first flogi happening ,default zone permit and then finally zone set activate.
