Cisco Bug: CSCup21679 - For some WLCs, clicking on it gives java exception error

Last Modified

Jun 06, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure

Known Affected Releases

2.1(0.0.85)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Version:2.1.0.0.87

Originally, when WLC with Ip address 3.2.0.60 was added on two PI servers, in one of the PIs, I was not able to access the WLC. When clicking on the WLC's ip link, it threw a java exception error that child object not found.

After checking with PI Dev team, I came to know that WLCs cannot be added on multiple PIs. So, I removed the controller on PI-2 and refreshed/logged-out/logged-in on PI-1. Even then, the java exception is being thrown. This should not be the case.

Even if the user tries to add WLCs on multiple PIs, an appropriate warning message shoudl be given on the PI GUI. Please refer attached email thread and screenshots.
