Description (partial)

Symptom:
On IE4000 interfaces, change port-type to eni, then config spanning-tree and below 
msg is thrown.  

myIE4k(config)#int g1/1
myIE4K(config-if)#spanning-tree 
Mar 30 21:38:00.776: Incompatible interface.
Mar 30 21:38:00.776: Failed to configure the values. Reverting to last  configuration.

Mar 30 21:38:00.776: Incompatible interface.

Conditions:
When spanning tree is configured under the port.
Show running full interface does show spanning-tree cli is present, but show 
spanning-tree does not list the interface.
